For a cross-border journey through time from the Stone Age to the Middle Ages, the Lake Constance offers a variety of outstanding gardens, castles and monasteries. The so-called "Tour through time" is for groups of 20 people for 3 days.

The Lake Constance with its world-famous islands is the cradle of European horticulture. Different eras, landscapes and styles have special connection here. The Archaeobotanical garden, where the crops of the dwellers grow, the monastic Island of Reichenau, Sankt Gallen and two other UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the charterhouse Ittingen and the medieval garden of  Arenenberg give fascinating insights into the history.

Our travel proposal for 3 days includes:

  • 2 overnight stays with breakfast in the charterhouse Ittingen or in a mid-range hotel in the area of Frauenfeld
  • Guided tour of the Stiftsbibliothek St.Gallen with a visit to Klosterplan, the "original document" of occidental horticulture
  • Guided tour Schloss Hahnberg, Berg near St.Gallen
  • Admission to the art museum Thurgau and Ittinger museum and audio guide through the gardens of the charterhouse Ittingen
  • Visit archaeobotanical gardens and archaeological museum Frauenfeld
  • Guided tour through Garden world Arenenberg, Salenstein
  • Wine tasting with 3 wines of Lake Constance on the Arenenberg
